Disgusted with the judges' decision in his fight against Diego Sanchez, at UFC Fight Night 42, held last Saturday (7), Ross Pearson gained respected support within Ultimate. His boss, Dana White, went public to condemn the result of the fight, stating that the English fighter was robbed in the fight, the co-main event of the night.

In statistics, Pearson had a wide advantage over Sanchez in the three rounds played. In the total number of significant blows connected, he won 51 to 33 (with 41% success, against 24% from Sanchez), and, in the second round, he applied a knockdown on your opponent. However, only one judge saw his victory in the fight, giving him 30-27. The other two scored in favor of Sanchez, with 29-28 and a surprising 30-27.

In an interview given to the website of the North American broadcaster ESPN, White expressed disapproval of the judges' decision, stating that he will plan Pearson's immediate future considering the Englishman as the true winner of the fight. "It was horrible. In the second round, Diego suffered a knockdown and yet a judge gave him that round. It's insanity. Pearson was robbed. We have to treat Pearson like he won and give him a fight at a higher level,” White explained.

Sanchez, born in Albuquerque, was fighting in his hometown, receiving widespread support from the fans in the stands. White, however, doesn't believe it made a difference. “In this sport, there has never been such an advantage of fighting at home. This is bullshit. Yes, more people will be rooting for one fighter more than the other, but the judges are not from that city. Typically, athletic commissions select the best judges in the country,” he argued.

Finally, White criticized judge Jeff Collins, who saw Sanchez winning during all three rounds. “The guy who gave Sanchez three rounds should never score a fight again,” he said.
