After a troubled debut in Ultimate, when he ended up being disqualified from the fight against Kiichi Kunimoto for applying illegal elbows, the Brazilian Luiz Besouro he'll have to wait a little longer to return to the Octagon. Besouro, who would face Sean Spencer at UFC Fight Night 44, ended up getting injured while preparing for the fight, which would take place on June 28th.
The information was released by the “MMA Junkie” website and confirmed by a source close to the athlete. At 32 years old, Luiz Besouro has a record of 11 wins, three losses and one fight without result. The TUF Brasil 2 participant is coming off a defeat at UFC Macau, in January this year, in the fight that marked his debut in the main MMA organization on the planet.
UFC Fight Night 44 takes place on June 28, in San Antonio (USA). In the main fight of the night, Cub swanson face Jeremy Stephens, in combat between two tops of the featherweight category. In the co-main fight of the event, the TUF 17 champion Kelvin Gastelum tries to maintain his unbeaten record against Swede Nicholas Musoke.
