Diego Sanchez will face Ross Pearson at UFC Fight Night 42, which will take place this Saturday (7), in the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico (USA). However, the champion of the first season of TUF is thinking ahead and already knows what fight he would like to do next.

In his hometown, the fighter hopes to beat Pearson clearly so he can finally challenge Nate diaz in a fight at the event to be held in Mexico City in November. If this actually happens, Sanchez will be able to fulfill both of his dreams.

“This is more important to me than if it were a title fight. It is my dream. It's the last time I'll be able to fight in front of my hundreds of friends and family. It’s the first time UFC has come to Albuquerque and it’s a very important night,” said Sanchez, in a press conference published by the North American website MMA Fighting. “My first dream is to fight in New Mexico, in Albuquerque, my hometown. My second dream is to fight in Mexico City. A big victory here will put me in this event in Mexico”, he trusts.

According to Sanchez, the fight against Diaz is something he has been looking forward to for a long time. “I want a big victory here so I can challenge Nate diaz for a fight in Mexico. This is the fight I want. I've been wanting to face him for a long time now. He's a crybaby, he only knows how to complain. He's an ingrate. I want to give you a little lesson in humility. We will talk to the UFC after this fight,” he declared.
