On the eve of the most important fight of his MMA career to date, Michael Pereira admitted to having a 'dream opponent' in mind. Rival of Stephen Thompson No. UFC 291, which takes place this Saturday (29), the Brazilian revealed his interest in facing Michael Page, former Bellator star, who recently left the Ultimate competitor. The Englishman, however, has no public negotiations with the company chaired by Dana White.
“When I see a guy trying to do a better show than me, I want to do an even better show. I think it would be a very fun fight for the public”, explained Pereira, in conversation with the press at 'half day'.

Quoted by Michel, Page chose not to renew his contract with the old company and, to date, continues to look for a new destination. Although he does not rule out starting a new relationship with Bellator, the Englishman admits analyzing proposals from other companies.
Featured in the top 15 welterweights (up to 77,1kg) in Ultimate, Michael Pereira will measure forces with a division icon. If he passes Thompson, current number seven and two-time title challenger, the man from Pará will make a significant jump in the ranking led by Leon edwards.
