McGregor surprises with statement about Do Bronx and analyzes chance of facing Brazilian UFC star

Popular phenomenon in the UFC, Conor McGregor had a moment of rare humility when dealing with the qualities of Charles of the Bronx. From former champion to former champion, the Irishman, in an interview with 'UOL Esporte', praised the Brazilian's performance in the massacre against Beneil Dariush. The fighter also admitted interest in measuring forces with the São Paulo native in the future.

“I was very impressed with Charles' performance. He's a great fighter, the greatest finisher in UFC history, something phenomenal. I would like to face him at some point. We can do that in the future,” McGregor said.

Former double Ultimate champion, McGregor is preparing for his return to the Octagon. Without fighting for two seasons, the Irishman has spent the last few years recovering from a serious injury suffered in the trilogy against Dustin poirier.

Number one in the lightweight rankings (up to 70,3kg.), from the Bronx, in addition to seeking to regain the lost belt in 2022, he has expressed interest in a confrontation against Conor. So far, neither party has a date or opponent for the next challenge in the organization.
