One of Bellator's biggest promises of the last decade, the Englishman Michael Page announced the end of his contract with the organization. In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the welterweight athlete (up to 77,1kg) did not rule out a possible return to the company headed by Scott Coker, however, he stated that he intends to test himself in the market and listen to proposals from other companies.

“I'm unemployed at the moment. I think it's time to explore what else is out there. It doesn't mean I'm not going back to Bellator. It just means I want to see what other people think of the 'MVP,'” Page said.

Hired by Bellator in 2013, when he had only three fights as a professional, 'Venom' achieved a positive record in the organization, but was marked by facing opponents with more accessible styles in most of his commitments in the circular cage.

The Englishman was also defeated in the two most important matches he faced in the category: against the former champion Douglas lima and against the North American Logan storley, the second duel worth the interim belt in the division. Page says goodbye to the company with a record of 17 wins and two losses in 10 years of service.
