Jiu-jitsu rocks the Club Municipal gym this weekend (May 30 and 31), when the FJJD-Rio State Championship takes place. The event, in addition to adding points to the entity's ranking, where there are many prizes at stake, will form the Rio teams for the challenge against the teams from São Paulo, in an event scheduled for August.
“There are more than 900 registered and we will have great fights. We are also continuing our work to introduce jiu-jitsu into schools, through the O Globo Intercollegiate Games, and we will have the presence of the secretary of sport and leisure, Chiquinho da Mangueira”, commented the president of the entity, Rogério Gavazza.
The black belt finals, which will take place on Sunday, will be broadcast live on the website inrheguard.tv. Among the beasts in action will be Douglas Rufino, Denílson Pimenta, Wallace Castro, Teodoro Canal, Zorobabel Junior, Vinicius Marinho, Victor Bonfim, Renan Vital, Leandro Ataíde and Thiago Oliveira, among others.
