Shogun faces Lyoto in October for the UFC belt

The leader of the UDL Mauricio Shogun will be the first challenger to the UFC light heavyweight title, held by fellow Brazilian, Lyoto Machida. The confrontation was signed this Tuesday, in Las Vegas, when Shogun and his manager, Eduardo Alonso, agreed to renew the fighter's contract and have already agreed to hold the fight, scheduled for October. The news was confirmed by a reliable source linked to the fighter from Curitiba.

The first challenger to Lyoto Machida's title would be Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, but the fighter will take command of a team in the tenth edition of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF-10), which will postpone his chance to fight for the belt.
