The most anticipated UFC light heavyweight fight already has a date set. The North American Jon Jones puts his reign on the line against the Swede Alexander Gustafson at UFC 177, scheduled for August 30th, in Las Vegas, in the United States. The confirmation took place during UFC 173, on Saturday night (24).

Gustafsson and Jones already faced each other at UFC 165, in September 2013. On that occasion, the Swede surprised the champion, imposed his standing game, avoided takedowns and was only overcome in a tight decision by the judges in a triple 48×47, in the North American's toughest battle in the Octagon.

The Swedish businessman, Manos Terzitane, still unaware of Jones' confirmation, said he expected the fight to be announced as soon as possible. According to them, the light heavyweights could have one of the biggest fights in history.

"Yes it is true. We were offered the fight on the card that takes place at the end of August in Las Vegas. The first duel between them was one of the best fights in UFC history. We hope that Jones accepts”, the businessman told the North American ESPN website.
