Eager to return to the octagon and erase his last defeat, Henry Cejudo He had already set his next target: Merab Dvalishvili. Despite the challenge made, the fighter was taken by surprise after the Georgian announced hand surgery. With no time to waste, 'Triplo C' reignited rivalry with Brandon Moreno and called up the flyweight champion (up to 56.7kg) for a duel.

“Bring him and then who knows? If the UFC is willing to offer me a lot of money to move down to flyweight, I'll do it. That's not my plan. But if Brandon wants this beating, and I know what I used to do to him in sparring. If he wants that beating, if he goes through Pantoja, which I know he won't, I'll be willing to do that fight too. A good old Mexican showdown and trust me, I want a piece of it. I called him for the first time (…) there is a rivalry between us. There's a great plot. Obviously, he's the babyface in the UFC. I'm the heel. Show me the money, let’s make it happen, baby,” Cejudo told ESPN.

Keeping an eye on every possible opportunity, Cejudo surprised and challenged the former featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg.) Max Holloway.

“If they're going to pull me away or whatever, after the Merab fight, or if nothing happens, I'd be willing to challenge Holloway. As shitty as I was against Aljamain, I know that when the stakes are high is when I can really compete. Getting these five rounds for my belt built this callus for me to have another good fight and be ready. I'm not opposed to that (…) I'm not opposed to this fight with Holloway, nor against Brandon Moreno. If the UFC wants to show us the money, if he beats Pantoja, we will do a confrontation”, he concluded.
