Black belt Renzo Gracie, 47, was arrested in New York (USA) after getting involved in a fight outside a nightclub last Sunday (18).
A witness reported, to the North American series Sherdog, that Renzo had argued with the nightclub doorman 1-Oak. Soon after, some security guards from the nightclub and around six of Renzo's friends, including his cousin and fellow fighter Igor, approached and the chaos began.
According to the witness, Renzo was on top of the receptionist during the fight. News from the newspaper New York Post says the nightclub doorman had a broken arm. A friend of the fighter hit a security guard with a construction cone.
The fight only ended when the police arrived and arrested Renzo Gracie and everyone who was with him. The New York Police Department has not yet revealed the charges against the fighter, who is still in custody.
