I think at the end of the day she's probably really grateful that I made her relevant again when I beat her because nobody really cared about Amanda nunes, because she was just running over everyone and knocking everyone out in the first round. So I think they were excited to see someone who could get in there and stop her and I think they were excited to see the wildness and the heart that I had. The determination to never give up in the second fight and, unfortunately for me, I ran out of time. I think she's probably grateful that we're going to do this trilogy because it once again elevates her," Peña said.

Amanda and Julianna have already faced each other on two occasions: in the first duel, in December 2021, Peña shocked the world by submitting the 'Leoa' in the second round and taking the belt that had been in the Brazilian's possession since July 2016. In the rematch, the greatest fighter in the history of women's MMA gave her rival a beating and resumed her bantamweight reign.
