Brazil has a new representative on the UFC fighter roster. The jiu-jitsu black belt, Gilbert Durinho, technician of Vitor belfort in ground fighting, he signed a contract with the biggest MMA organization in the world. He still doesn't have a date or opponent set for his debut.
With a professional record of seven wins in seven fights, Durinho had been performing in lesser events as a lightweight (up to 70 kg.), but after difficulties in reaching the limit of the division, he decided to debut in the Octagon as a welterweight ( up to 77 kg.)
At 27 years old, Gilbert made his career in jiu-jitu, but has been evolving his game in striking. He knocked out his last two opponents, Paulo Bananada and Paulo Rambinho.
