junior gypsy will not need to undergo surgery to correct the fracture he suffered in his left hand during training for the fight he would have against Stipe Miocic at TUF Brasil 3 Finale, on May 31st, in São Paulo.

According to the program “UFC Tonight”, on the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”, Cigano injured his hand last week and waited to see if the swelling would decrease, so that he could resume training. However, this did not happen.

After undergoing an MRI exam, Cigano received a doctor's recommendation to immobilize his hand for a period of four weeks in order to reduce the risk of suffering an even greater injury. Thus, the Brazilian left the card in São Paulo, being replaced by Fabio Maldonado in the main fight of the night.

Last week, before the announcement that he would leave the fight, Cigano posted on his Instagram a photo in which he appeared undergoing physical therapy on his left hand. “After another intense day of training, the hands suffer the most, so physiotherapy on them”, wrote the fighter.
