UFC announces fight between Edson Barboza and Evan Dunham for July

Fighters try to recover from losses to Cerrone; Lucas Mineiro also participates in the event

Edson Barboza There is already a day and place to return to the UFC Octagon. It will be on July 16th, in the city of Atlantic City, in the US state of New Jersey, when he will face Evan dunham.

Both Barboza, 11th in the lightweight rankings, and Dunham are coming off defeats to the same fighter: Donald Cerrone. In November last year, the “Cowboy” submitted his compatriot with a triangle choke at UFC 167; In April this year, with a rear naked choke, he beat the Brazilian at UFC on FOX 11.

In addition to Barboza, another Brazilian was recently confirmed for the event. Lucas “Mineiro” Martins will face Jim Alers in the featherweight division. Mineiro debuted in the UFC with a loss to Barboza himself, but then recovered by knocking out Jeremy Larsen and submitting Ramiro Hernandez.
