Present in several Ultimate battles, Anthony Smith ended up being defeated in his last appearance, when he shared the octagon with Johnny Walker. Experienced in mixed martial arts, the North American decided to talk about his performance against the Brazilian and was sincere in highlighting his biggest weakness during the fights.

“There is a glaring hole in my game. These are leg kicks. He has become a liability at this point. It's not even a hole in my game anymore, it's a trend. I would love to see the numbers and see how many leg kicks I have absorbed in my UFC career. It has to be in the thousands. At this point, defending them isn't even good enough... It hurt more to defend than just lifting him up and taking the hit," Smith said in an interview with Michael Bisping.

Despite recognizing the error, Smith claimed that he had already tried to change several times to avoid the blows and recalled his biggest injuries throughout his career.

“I think over time I’ve taken so many hits that my leg just isn’t taking it as well as it used to. We've covered this several times. We changed my stance, we changed my movement, we changed the blocking. Andrew Sanchez destroyed my leg with kicks, Jon Jones destroyed my leg with kicks, Volkan oezdemir destroyed my leg, Hector Lombard, until Alexander Gustafson a little; Aleksandar Rakić put me down with just two. It’s a trend”, analyzed Anthony.
