Officially appointed as a new PFL contractor, the Cameroonian Francis Ngannou refuted a statement made by the president of Bare Knuckle FC last April. In an interview with MMA Fighting, the former UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg) said that at no point did he sit down to talk to David Feldman or any other member of the 'Boxing without Gloves' board of directors.

“I just think he assumed I was too expensive. Obviously… because if he had to take out a loan on his house to put into his organization, then I think he assumed he couldn't pay back that loan. I never spoke to him. My team never spoke to him. And then when I saw his comments, I was like, 'Where is this guy coming from?' That's why I didn't even say anything about it (in the press). I was like, 'This guy is just a joke,'” Ngannou said.

The premiere of Francis Ngannou by the PFL it should only happen in mid-2024. The Cameroonian announced that he will first have a boxing match, with no defined opponent yet, before his debut in his new home.
