In March of this year, Jimi Manuwa suffered his first defeat in professional MMA when he suffered a technical knockout against Alexander Gustafson In London. However, anyone who thinks that the fighter was devastated by the result is mistaken.

In an interview with the YouTube channel “WHOA TV”, Manuwa stated that he sees the fight only as an opportunity to evolve as a fighter. “I refuse to say it was a defeat, because I learned a lot from that fight. I'm going to use that as an experiment. This will give me more confidence because I know what I need to do next time”, said the fighter. “I think it was my fault. He's a great fighter and I had a good fight, but I relaxed for a second. At this level, you can't do that. The fight will give me a lot of experience,” he continued.

Whoever is in front of me, regardless of who it is, I will face it,” he declared.
