Rafael Feijão liked the wedding of his next fight, recently announced by the UFC. The former Strikeforce champion will face Ryan bader at event number 174, which will be held on June 14th, in Vancouver, Canada. The Brazilian, who is coming off a victory over Igor Pokrajac in Goiânia, says that Bader's style is ideal for him to show his evolution.
“He is a very tough guy. He's a wrestler, he's a complete guy. He's not one of those guys who comes from wrestling and doesn't stand up. He's tough on his feet too. It's a fight that I enjoyed, I like testing myself against the best. He's in the top 10 and has been showing what he's made of. I loved this fight. I'm dying to fight again – I've been staying in excellent shape, and I've changed a lot about my training since the last fight. Everyone has seen the evolution, and this one will be no different. I'm going to get even better and I'm dying to show it against the Ryan bader”, commented Feijão, in a press conference reproduced by the “Sexto Round” website.
Before the fight with Bader was confirmed, Feijão was speculated in a fight against Daniel Cormier, which will end up facing Dan Henderson. The Brazilian admitted that he had a preference in facing the former Strikeforce fighter. “[The fight with Cormier] It was the fight I wanted. The fight was offered to me, and I have to make it clear that I accepted. Bader is a tough guy, but Daniel Cormier It's [also] very hard. I think my game matches this fighting style.
