Ultimate travels to Newark, New Jersey this Saturday (6) for the UFC 288, with the duel valid for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg.) between Henry Cejudo e aljamain sterling as the main fight. Before entering the octagon, however, the 26 athletes scheduled for the event must pass the scale challenge at the official weigh-in, which takes place from 10 am this Friday (5).
Inactive for three years, Henry Cejudo makes his long-awaited return to the UFC and seeks to regain the belt he relinquished in his last appearance. Rocked by two consecutive title defenses, aljamain sterling tries to break the division record by achieving the third consecutive victory as champion.
In the co-main fight, Gilbert Durinho e Belal Muhammad | they measure strength in five-round combat. Guaranteed that they will receive a chance at the belt in case of victory, the fighters will give their all to face a duel against the welterweight champion (up to 77,1kg.)
In addition to Durinho, Brazil has seven other representatives at the event. On the main card, strawweight (up to 52,1kg) Jessica Pile Driver tries to recover from the last defeat suffered and faces the Chinese XiaonanYan. Another Brazilian to make up the main card is kron gracie, who returns after almost four years away from the octagon. The Brazilian faces Charles Jourdain, in featherweight (up to 65,7kg.). And climbed at the last minute, Diego lopes enters with a few days notice and faces a great featherweight prospect Movsar Evloev. On the preliminary card, the veterans Marina Rodriguez e Virna jandiroba they do a duel between green and yellow, in a clash of styles; another newcomer to the organization, Rafael Estevam measure forces with Zhalgas Zhumagulov in flyweight (up to 56,7kg) and Claudio Ribeiro opens the event in a fight against Joseph Holmes, in the middleweight class (up to 83,9kg.).
