A duel between two promises from the lightweight category was added to UFC Fight Night to be held in the city of San Antonio, on June 28th. Abel Trujillo will try to continue his good moment in Ultimate against the undefeated Myles Jury.
A former North American TUF participant, Jury has a perfect record in professional MMA, winning all of his 14 fights. In the last of them, at UFC 171, he beat the former challenger for the belt Diego Sanchez in the unanimous decision of the judges. Another highlight of his career was the victory over Michael Johnson in December 2012.
Trujillo, in turn, staged one of the most electrifying fights of the year so far. At UFC 169, he knocked out Jamie Varner in a fight full of action and twists. His last setback was in May 2013, when he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov by decision.
The event will also have participation from Brazilians
The UFC's first time in the city of San Antonio will feature some Brazilian fighters. Two-time jiu-jitsu world champion, Antonio Braga Neto will have his second fight in Ultimate against Clint Hester. In June last year, he completed Anthony Smith in Fortaleza.
Marcelo Guimarães, with an eye on recovery after his last defeat, will face Andy Enz. Luiz Besouro will have his second fight in the UFC against Sean Spencer, and Rani Yaya will rematch Johnny Bedford after the no-contest of the fight held in Abu Dhabi. In addition to them, Carlos Diego Ferreira will make his UFC debut against Colton Smith. Cezar Mutant, champion of TUF Brazil 1, will also be present.
