Involved in 'limbo' in the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg), the former champion Max Holloway suggested a possible opponent for his next round in the world's most famous octagon. In an interview with 'MMA Hour', the 'Blessed' suggested a rematch against the Irishman Conor McGregor and even offered to face him at welterweight (up to 77,1kg).

“I would love to fight Conor (McGregor). I was the only guy who took Conor to a decision in many years and he is big now. Let's see what happens. I know he will fight again soon and that would be a super interesting, super fun fight. There are a lot of questions, a lot of unknowns, we are just two different fighters than when we fought back then. I think a lot of fans would love this fight, a lot of fans are asking for this fight. Let's see what happens. I would fight him with no weight limit, whatever the commission tells us, just show up bro. You don’t have to worry, I’d just like to face him,” Holloway said.
Willing to avenge the defeat he suffered in 2013, Max even suggested a duel in the welterweight division, around 12kg above what he usually performs in the featherweight category.
“Yes, I would fight him at welterweight, just show up. I think we have to be close to each other, I think because of all these commission things, we could take it to the UFC 1 rules and just show up and fight”, concluded Max.
Holloway and McGregor faced each other in August 2013, at ufc boston. At the time, both athletes were still promising in the featherweight division and the Irishman emerged victorious in the judges' unanimous decision.
