According to the website “Sherdog”, the cause of death announced by coroners was “asphyxiation caused by oxygen deprivation”. The information also states that Jabbar was found tied up and with a plastic bag wrapped around his head and neck. Despite Moore's arrest, Arizona police continue to investigate the case and search for other suspects. Bail worth US$1 million (approximately R$2,24 million at current exchange rates) was set for the former athlete, who is being held at the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department.
