Knocked out by Brandon royval in a decisive fight for the future of flyweights (up to 56,7kg) in the UFC Kansas City, last Saturday, Matheus Nicolau saw the division belt become more distant and, in addition, he will need to wait at least two months to restart his path towards the top of the category. This is because the Minas Gerais native was subject to the longest medical suspension of the event, with a 60-day suspension.
Matheus Nicolau e Billy quarantillo, victim of a brutal knee from Edson Barboza in the co-main event, they received 60 days of medical suspension. In addition to not being able to fight for two months, the two athletes must wait 45 days to return to training with physical contact.
