Executioner of Max Holloway on three occasions in Ultimate, Alexander Volkanovsky sent a message to his rival after following his triumph in the UFC Kansas City. Impressed with the fighter's performance in the victory against arnold allen, the featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg.) sent a curious message to the Hawaiian. The athlete also showed concern about the current reality of his former opponent.

“I remember telling him after our last fight: 'get out of my category and stop defeating my challengers'. You feel bad in these situations. Why does this guy need to be in my division? Obviously, he's a great guy and an excellent fighter. He’s in a complicated situation, for sure,” Volkanovski said.

Alexander's speech refers to the imbroglio experienced by Max. Even though he is an undisputed standout in the category, the Hawaiian has accumulated three setbacks for the current champion, which makes it difficult to attract interest in a fourth clash.

Today, Holloway ranks second in the category. The athlete is second only to Volkanovski and the interim champion Yair Rodriguez.
