Brazilians make weight and confirm fights at UFC Kansas City

The 'Brazilian Squadron' is confirmed in UFC Kansas City, an event that takes place this Saturday (15). In an official weigh-in held this Friday morning (14), the five Brazilians scheduled for the card beat the weight of their respective categories.

The scare was due to Matheus Nicolau. With a decisive duel against Brandon royval, which should qualify the winner for a title fight, the Brazilian was around 400g above the flyweight division limit, counting on the extra pounds available in non-title fights. Moments later, however, the miner returned to the scale and weighed 57,1kg with the help of the screen, confirming the fight.

Besides Matheus Nicolau, are part of the 'Brazilian Squadron' in the UFC Kansas City featherweight (up to 65,7kg) Edson Barboza, who has the co-main fight of the night against Billy quarantillo; bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) Peter Munhoz, which faces Chris Gutierrez also on the main card; and straw weights (up to 52,1kg) Bruna Brazil e Denise Gomes, who face each other on the preliminary card.

Protagonists of the event, Max Holloway e arnold allen They had no problems and confirmed the main fight of the night, decisive for the future of the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg).
