The winner of the fight between Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne, which will take place this Saturday (19), will face Cain Velazquez for the UFC heavyweight belt. The world MMA community already knew this. The news is that the fight for the title will take place in Mexico, during the first Ultimate event in the country.

The UFC will arrive in Mexico City in November, in an event that will mark the final of the first season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America. It is precisely this month that Velasquez intends to return to fighting, as he is still recovering from surgery on his shoulder at the end of last year.

The information was given by UFC president, Dana White, in a press conference this Thursday (17). “As long as Velasquez is healthy, the fight should take place in Mexico. I’ll probably get in trouble for announcing this now, but anyway…,” he joked.

Werdum and Browne will be in the main fight of UFC on FOX 11, in the city of Orlando, in the United States. The Brazilian will try to win his fourth consecutive victory in the UFC, as he beat Roy Nelson, Mike Russow and Rodrigo Minotauro.
