On the eve of his performance at 'Boxing of Legends' in front of Joe Riggs, Markus Maluko admitted satisfaction regarding the salary received for the test in the 'noble art'. Scheduled for this Saturday's show (1), the fighter revealed that he will receive more than the payments he made during his UFC days. The information was given to 'Trocação Franca'.

“I'm an MMA fighter and I can face anything. 'I'll offer you this amount for a boxing match.' I said, 'what?' It's more than I was getting in the UFC. I'm in. Let's go. It’s good money, but my focus is on beating this guy (Joe Riggs),” said Maluko.

A former Ultimate representative, Markus has not performed since his victory over Chase Gamble in the Action Fight League (AFL), under MMA rules, in January 2023. The weekend's test marks the Brazilian's debut in the 'noble art'.

In addition to Maluko, the 'Boxing of Legends' will have three more representatives. Vitor belfort e Ronaldo Jacare face each other in the co-main fight, while José Aldo measure forces with Jeremy Stephens. Everyone involved had experience in the UFC.
