In addition to breaking the bank and dominating Petr yan for five rounds, Merab Dvalishvili declared that his preparation and performance were accompanied by an injury. In a video published on his official account Twitter, the Georgian presented a shocking scene, in which his right hand appears completely swollen. According to the athlete, the situation worsened during the confrontation and the pain continues to this day.
“Two weeks before my fight I trained with just one hand. I only had one arm to prepare me. During the first minute of the fight, I could feel the pain in my hand, but I ignored it and then I could continue fighting. While I was performing, I injured myself again, in the same place and to this day I still feel pain”, declared Merab.
