UFC 174, the event that marks the return of Ultimate to Canada on June 14, still does not have a defined main fight. But according to the Russian website Valetudo.ru, the flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will defend his reign against Ali Bagautinov.
Johnson, who has an MMA record of 19 wins and two losses, won the flyweight belt by winning the category's GP in 2012. Since then, the North American has defended his reign on three occasions, the last being over Joseph Benavidez, in December.
In turn, Bagautinov has a professional record of 13 wins and two losses. The Russian athlete comes from an impressive streak of 11 consecutive victories, three of which were with the UFC. In his last appearance, Ali defeated Brazilian John Lineker at UFC 168 in February.
UFC 174 is scheduled for June 14th in Vancouver. The show will be the only event in 2014 held on Canadian soil with PPV sales to the United States.
