After an intense fight against Dan Henderson last Sunday (23), in Natal, Mauritius Shogun He has already begun to take the first steps towards his recovery. This Wednesday (26), the former UFC champion underwent surgery in Maringá, in the north of Paraná, to repair the broken nose suffered in the technical knockout defeat.

Shogun's manager, Eduardo Alonso, told the North American website “MMA Fighting” that the fighter should be released this Wednesday. However, even though there was no serious injury, there is no prediction for his return to fighting. “There is no forecast [for his return to training], we will take the week off to rest,” said Alonso.

“Shogun did not suffer any injuries other than a broken nose. The CT scan showed nothing. There was no neurological damage, loss of consciousness, or anything”, concluded the businessman.
