Light heavyweight Fábio Maldonado was really excited about the victory over Gian Villante at UFC Natal, last Sunday (23). Known for not keeping his tongue, especially when using social media, Maldonado went to Twitter and challenged the veteran Dan Henderson, who won Mauritius Shogun in the main fight of the same event.

“Dana White, thank you for the beautiful words. I wish I had a chance to face my idol Dan Henderson in five rounds. I know I have a lot to improve, but I'm a five-round athlete. It would be a great fight for the fans and a dream come true for me”, wrote the Sorocabano to the Ultimate manager. “Thank you to all the fans for your support, I was very happy to fight in Natal. I'm a fan of Dan Henderson, it would be an honor and a dream to fight against him”, he commented in another publication.

PUBLICITY:

At 34 years old, Fábio Maldonado has a record of 21 wins and six losses. The light heavyweight comes from three consecutive victories, over Roger Hollett, Joey Beltran and Gian Villante. The series of triumphs came precisely when Maldonado experienced his most difficult moment in the organization, with three consecutive defeats, to Kyle Kingsbury, Igor Pokrajac and Glover Teixeira.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
