Steve Cantwell debuted with a victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) when he broke Razak Al-Hassan's arm with an armbar in December. The American commented on his fight against Brazilian Luis "Banha" Cane at UFC 97, which takes place this Saturday in Montreal. According to Cantwell, the Brazilian fighter is a dangerous opponent, but he believes in his own game plan to win the fight.
“He throws hard punches and left kicks. So I should avoid this left side and see how to take him down”, said the last WEC light heavyweight champion
“I'm looking to improve my right hand, as I'm facing a 'paw from the south' (as left-handed fighters are known). I definitely want to see how he behaves in my game” said Cantwell who also commented on what it would be like if he broke an opponent’s arm again “I’m a good guy! If I break the guy’s arm I won’t celebrate again”, he concluded.
