UFC 171 was definitely not a good event for Carlos Condit. In addition to having lost to Tyron woodley, putting him even further away from the chance to compete for the welterweight belt, the American fighter was diagnosed with a partial tear in the meniscus and a complete tear in the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The information was passed on by his coach, Greg Jackson, to the “UFC Tonight” program on the North American broadcaster FOX Sports.

Last Saturday (15), Condit had a difficult fight against Woodley, who had been dominating the action until then. In the second round, after a fall, Condit already showed signs of feeling uncomfortable with pain. Shortly afterwards, Woodley kicked his left leg, which caused an injury to his right knee.

PUBLICITY:

It was already suspected that the injury was serious, but this was only confirmed after the fighter underwent an MRI at the scene. There is still no estimate on how long Condit will be away from the Octagon.
