UFC 171, an event that takes place tonight (15), in Dallas, in the United States, features as its main attraction the welterweight belt dispute between John hendricks e Robbie Lawler. But before the main attraction, the preliminary card heated up the American Airlines Center. Among the Brazilians on the show, Renée Forte was surpassed by Frank Trevino, while Jessica Pile Driver fought a great battle against Rachel Pennington and won in a split decision from the judges.

Jessica wins next in a row

The one from Paraná Jessica Pile Driver she debuted in Ultimate with a defeat, in July 2013, but the Brazilian showed that she is going through a good moment and scored her second consecutive victory in the Octagon. Before Rachel Pennington, the Brazilian started the first round better and scored points by working on top in the ground fight and working with punches in her striking.

In the second round, however, the North American managed to balance the actions. Pennington worked with strikes in the clinch and almost ended the fight when he landed a guillotine choke at the end of the fight.

With the fight completely balanced, the third round would be responsible for defining the winner. And it was Jéssica who had her hand raised by the central referee. Bate-Estaca walked forward throwing punches and Raquel just defended herself and waited for the best moment to put in the click.

Although the North American still managed a takedown in the final moments and ended the fight on top, the Brazilian had her hand raised in the judges' split decision (29×28, 28×29, 29×28).

Renée loses and gets complicated in the UFC

The first Brazilian to enter the octagon, Renée Forte had already lost the fight to the scales, on Friday, at the official weigh-in for UFC 171 and this Saturday came the second setback. The Ceará native even started the fight better against Frank Trevino, keeping the Mexican on the bottom in the ground fight and scoring points.

The story of the fight started to change from the second round onwards. Trevino managed to keep the fight standing and provoked the Brazilian, calling him to strike. He scored points and wore down the Brazilian. History repeated itself in the third round until the Mexican won a unanimous decision from the judges.

The result marked the third defeat in four appearances for Renée Forte in the UFC. With the poor series of results and the failure to make weight for UFC 171, the Ceará native is at serious risk of being fired.
