Islam Makhachev praises 'McGregor x Chandler' and hints at a possible duel with the winner

Already in Australia for his first defense of the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg), the Russian Islam makhachev gave his opinion on the duel of coaches that will lead the thirty-first edition of 'TUF'. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', Khabib's pupil praised the clash between Conor McGregor e Michael chandler and was willing to face the winner of the fight.

"Michael chandler x Conor McGregor It's a good fight for MMA fans, but both guys, from where I am now... We have a long way between us. This is just a good fight for the fans and that's it. My friends will be upset if this happens, but I told you, if the UFC calls me, I will never choose anyone. If the UFC calls me, I’ll be ready,” said Makhachev.

Next Saturday (11), Islam will make his first defense of the lightweight belt after winning Charles of the Bronx last October. At the UFC 284, the Russian fighter will face the Australian Alexander Volkanovsky, featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg). The show will be held in the city of Perth, Australia (AUS).
