PFL founder names Jake Paul as 'best marketer' in the history of combat sports

New PFL signing, where he should start his MMA career, Jake Paul has a lot to add to the organization, especially outside the decagon. At least that's what Donn Davis, the company's founder, believes.

In an interview with the “TSN” channel, Davis highlighted the knowledge of Jake Paul regarding pay-per-view sales and named the YouTube and boxing star as “the greatest marketer in the history of combat sports.”

“If you look at each of them individually, Jake is the best marketer and promoter we've ever seen in the history of combat sports. Maybe since Muhammad Ali. With Nakisa (Bidarian), he is one of five people in the world who understand the economic and financial issues of pay-per-view. So we have one of the best businessmen in pay-per-view and we have one of the best promoters and marketers in pay-per-view exclusively on the PFL platform to help us build this division. It couldn’t be more exciting”, analyzed Davis.

Donn Davis continued, highlighting the importance of visibility, engagement and performance of Jake Paul for other PFL athletes.

“Most of this business is Jake Paul being a marketer, creator and promoter of the fights he is not involved in the PFL. He is now exclusively on our platform to improve the profiles of other fighters in other fights in the super fight division and the league. Jake has more followers and engagement than the UFC itself. (…) The second piece of the deal is him as a fighter. Harvesting your own fruits. He made more than US$50 million in just three years and is saying that the place he chose in MMA is the PFL”, he concluded.
