At just 26 years old, Ihor Potieria, in addition to beating one of MMA's biggest legends, he also fulfilled a prophecy made 10 years ago. The Ukrainian, as a teenager, told his friends that one day he would face Mauritius Shogun. At the weekend, the athlete became the Curitiba native's last opponent.

“When I was just 16, I said that one day I would fight 'Shogun'. But that was just a joke. The way it worked, the way the energies work, is that you attract what you want. Yes, it was his last fight, and I'm not sure if anyone will be happy with his loss, but the fact is that I'm grateful to Shogun for fighting, because it's legends like him who give us a way. They show us the way. They introduce us as the new generation” said Ihor in a press conference after the fight.
