Ed Soares, one of the businessmen of Zingano cat, stated that the fighter will be ready to return to the UFC in June.

Zingano, who was scheduled to face the champion, Ronda Rousey, at the end of last year, has experienced several problems since then. She suffered a knee injury that required surgery, being replaced by Miesha Tate at UFC 168 and in charge of reality show The Ultimate Fighter. Then, in 2014, the fighter suffered a shock with the death of her husband, Brazilian Maurício Zingano.

According to Soares, who is also one of the businessmen of Anderson Silva, Zingano is determined to make her return to the Octagon. “She sent me a message right after the fight [between Ronda Rousey e Sara McMann, at UFC 170]. Cat watched the fight, is focused, motivated and recovering well. She is coming back”, said the businessman to the North American newspaper “USA Today”.

“She had a turbulent time after her surgery, especially because of all the personal problems that happened to her. But Cat is one of the people who can take negative energy and use it as motivation to win the belt”, added Soares.

If Zingano returns to the UFC facing Rousey, the women's belt fight will feature another fight between undefeated fighters. “Alpha”, as she is known, has eight victories in MMA, the last of which was a technical knockout over Tate, in April 2013.
