With five Brazilians, UFC Vegas 67 opens the organization's season this Saturday

Show presents five Brazilian representatives to fans, and 11 clashes in total

After the Ultimate 'vacation' has passed, it's time to kick off the company's 2023 season. This Saturday (14) the UFC Las Vegas 67, an event marked by a true Brazilian squad. In total, the show has 11 fights scheduled and will be headlined by the clash between Sean Strickland e Nassourdine Imavov.

Pressured by two consecutive defeats, Strickland steps into the Octagon with the need to win. In his last clashes, the athlete ended up being surpassed by Alex Poatán e Jared Cannonier. Imavov's rival, the 'bad boy' took on the challenge of replacing, at the last minute, the injured Kelvin Gastelum.

Still on the main card, Ketlen Scallop season debut against Rachel Pennington. Faced with a former challenger to the bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg.), the Brazilian seeks to triumph to gain the status of competing for the title of Amanda nunes.

Also in the second half of the event, Raoni barcelos will face one of the biggest challenges of his career. The combatant faces the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov, Khabib's cousin and 11th in the rankings in the division led by aljamain sterling.

On the preliminary card, Brazil has four representatives. After convincing on 'Dana White's Contender Series', Claudio Ribeiro will measure forces with Abdul Razak Alhassan, in a fight contested at middleweight (up to 83,9kg.). The commitment marks the debut of Tupiniquim in the company.

Another debutante will be Matt Mendonça, the 'Big Mouth'. Representative of the roosters, the athlete from 'Chute Boxe – Diego Lima' will be the opponent of Javid Basharat.

Also from Chute Boxe, Allan Puro Osso takes on his first challenge of the year. A flyweight athlete (up to 56,7kg), the Tupiniquim shares the octagon with Carlos Hernandez.

Sean Strickland vs Nassourdine Imaviv

Protagonist in the second consecutive confrontation in less than a month, Sean Strickland once again proves that he intends to remain active in the company. This Saturday, however, the athlete has a delicate commitment.

Rival of the promising Nassourdine Imavov, the 'bad boy' needs to win to end a sequence of two setbacks, a previously unprecedented scenario in his middleweight career. In the last two appearances, the American has accumulated a knockout and a negative result on points.

Rising in the company, Imavov will have a 'golden opportunity' this weekend. Previously, the athlete would face Kelvin Gastelum for an opportunity to enter the top 15. With the change of opponent, the fighter, if he wins, can take a position among the top 10 of the group led by Alex Poatán.
