The Brazilian Thiago tavares he will have to wait a little longer to debut in the featherweight category. This is because, according to the website “MMA Junkie”, Thiago will no longer face Russian Zubair Tuhugov at UFC Fight Night 36, in Jaraguá do Sul (SC), on February 15th.
According to “MMA Junkie”, a source linked to the athlete, who did not identify himself as he was not authorized to speak publicly about the matter, confirmed that Thiago is out of the event in Jaraguá do Sul, but did not reveal what caused the fighter to be cut. . Despite this, the fighter himself did not speak out on the matter, either through the press or on his social media profiles.
At 29, Thiago tavares has a record of 18 wins, five losses and one draw. The Brazilian has won three of his last four fights and is coming off a triumph over Justin Salas at UFC Fight Night 32, in October last year, in Goiânia (GO).
