Finalist in the heavyweight tournament (up to 120,2kg.) at PFL 10 2022, held this Friday (25th), in New York (USA), Matheus Buffa did not win the category title. Opponent of Before Delija, the Brazilian accepted the frank exchange and got the worst of it against the Croatian. With a tough knockout, the Curitiba native was beaten in the first round.
With the defeat, Buffa lost Delija's second commitment in the 2022 season. The Croatian had been responsible for 'welcoming' Matheus on the Tupiniquim's debut in the company.
Victorious in the confrontation, Ante has plenty of reasons to celebrate. At PFL 10 2022, the athlete took the throne of the category and, as a bonus, won the dream prize of US$1 million (around R$5,3 million).
In 2021, Delija had reached the final. The athlete, however, was beaten by the Brazilian Bruno Cappelozza.
