Alex Caceres, who beat Sergio Pettis by submission at UFC on Fox 10, last Saturday (25), suspects that the organization wanted him to leave the fight defeated.

The former participant in the reality show The Ultimate Fighter faced off against his brother Anthony Pettis, UFC lightweight champion, who had won his only fight at the event. Caceres, also known by his nickname Bruce Leeroy, was the underdog on the betting markets, but won in the final seconds of the fight, with a rear naked choke.

In an interview given after the fight to the North American website MMA Fighting, Caceres explained his feeling. “I feel like they wanted him [Pettis] to beat me and move on. Maybe they thought he would beat me on the feet and beat me. I don't mind. I think it's like that in every fight: they make me lose. There’s no problem – if that’s the case, I’ll continue to surprise people”, said the fighter, who has not been defeated in his last five fights.
