'World Cup guide for MMA fans' compares the competition's 32 teams to fighters

This Sunday (20), Qatar and Ecuador kick off the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the twenty-second edition of the biggest competition between football teams on the planet. With this in mind, the Irish website “Severe MMA” prepared the “Guide to the World Cup for MMA fans”, comparing, in a humorous way, the 32 World Cup teams to mixed martial arts athletes.

The Brazilian team, for example, was compared to the UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg). Francis Ngannou, due to his destructive offensive power and exciting style of competing. See the full list:

GROUP A:

Taste:

Equivalent fighter – CM Punk

Not very nice, not very good. They don't belong here and probably won't last long.

Odds – 350/1

Ecuador:

Equivalent fighter – Paul Craig

Maybe a little surprising how well they do, but worth taking seriously nonetheless.

Odds – 200/1

Senegal:

Equivalent fighter – Rob font

They will compete with anyone, but the big goals may be too much for them.

The Netherlands

Equivalent fighter – Max Holloway

Extremely talented in all areas. They will be very close to the top, but will probably be second best in 2022.

Nasty and arrogant, but they almost came to a head not long ago. They probably won't come again.
