Khabib Nurmagomedov is not having an easy time finding his next opponent in the UFC. The Russian, who won all five of his fights in the organization and is undefeated in his career, sought to face Gilbert Melendez or Nate diaz, but negotiations were unsuccessful.
However, this does not mean that he will accept a fight against an opponent he considers less qualified. In recent weeks, Nurmagomedov has been challenged by Michael Johnson, but, as far as the Russian is concerned, the fight will not happen.
“I don't want to offend you, you're a good fighter, but you lost 60% of your fights. I’ll wait for you at the top,” wrote Nurmagomedov on Twitter, mentioning Johnson’s profile.
The American has 14 wins and eight losses in his career and comes from two consecutive victories, against Joe lauzon (unanimous decision) and Gleison Tibau (knockout).
