The fight

The confrontation began with O'Malley taking the initiative with a low kick. The Russian responded in kind. Yan tried to close the distance and cornered the American close to the bars. With just over a minute left, Sean landed a clean right on the face of the former bantamweight champion, but the Russian continued walking forward. Close to the middle of the confrontation, O'Malley began to loosen up and attack his opponent with combinations of punches and kicks. The North American adopted a reactive stance, and waited for his opponent's actions to reciprocate with counterattacks. With three minutes played, the North American let his guard down and tried to mislead the Russian. Petr managed to close the distance and landed a great takedown on his opponent, landing on top, in a dominant position. In the final minute, Sean managed to stay on his feet and attacked with a two-handed combination. The stage ended with Sean feigning a fall, but there was no more time.

In the second round, the first attack came from Yan, who launched a powerful kick at O'Malley's line. The North American did not accuse the attack and responded with an upper, shaking the Russian. Cornered, Petr tried to recover, but the moment belonged to Sean. Afterwards, Yan surprised and it was the Russian's turn to rock the North American, with a cross, which took his rival to the canvas. Petr fell on top and punished him with ground and pound. After the scare, O'Malley managed to stand, but was pressed against the bars by his opponent. Halfway through the stage, Sean managed to free himself and ended up falling after losing his balance while throwing a low kick. The American got up quickly and didn't give the former champion a chance. Almost in the final minute, Yan connected two kicks to his opponent's waistline and Sean responded with a sequence of jabs. Close to the end of the confrontation, Petr managed to take his opponent to the ground again, and was pressing on top. The timer reached zero with Yan in the advantageous position.

In the last round, O'Malley asserted his greater reach and launched long-range attacks. Yan managed to shorten the fight and looked for a takedown in the first minute. The action was defended by the North American. After just over a minute, Petr walked forward and tried to 'find' his opponent. With almost three minutes remaining, O'Malley attacked the Russian with a clean knee to the face. Petr felt the blow and the American was looking for the knockout. Halfway through the stage, Sean started to scare again with a high kick, but Yan 'flew' at his opponent's legs, taking the fight to the ground. Once again, Sean managed to stay on his feet, but Petr remained 'glued' to his opponent and pressed against the bars. After so much insistence, Yan managed to take down his opponent, but O'Malley 'stubbornly' remained on his feet. Once again in the exchange, the fighters attacked with punch combinations and, subsequently, Yan managed another takedown. Once again, Sean stood up and attacked with jabs and rights. With his face bleeding, Petr showed courage and walked towards his opponent. In the final seconds, the Russian took down again, but there was no more time.
