Good news marked the last day of the year for Anderson Silva. This Tuesday (31), the Brazilian left the Las Vegas University Medical Center and headed to the city of Los Angeles (USA), where he has a house close to his recently opened gym. The information was released by the program “SporTV News”, on the cable channel SporTV.
According to the news, Spider left the hospital through the back door, going directly to a bus that would take him to his residence in California, where he will spend New Year's Eve with his family. Previously, the medical team taking care of Anderson had already announced that the athlete would undergo daily assessments until he was finally discharged.
Last Saturday (28), Anderson Silva fractured his left leg in the second round of the UFC 168 main fight, against Chris Weidman. Spider was immediately taken to the hospital by the Ultimate team and underwent surgery on his tibia, in which a metal rod was implanted in the fractured bone. The procedure was considered a success by the medical team that accompanied the fighter and it is estimated that Anderson's recovery time will be approximately six months.
