Originally, accredited by the victory over Miesha Tate, Zingano cat would be TUF 18 coach alongside Ronda Rousey and would face the champion of the women's bantamweight category this Saturday (28), at UFC 168. A knee injury to the then challenger, however, changed Ultimate's plans, which promoted Miesha to her place on the reality show, and consequently in the fight for title. For the fight between Tate and Rousey, Zingano revealed that he preferred a victory for the belt holder, already thinking about a future confrontation.

“I already beat Miesha, so I'm not after her. I know what she has, I know her value. I'm ready for bigger and better challenges, and at the moment, Ronda is one of them. If Miesha wins, I'll be looking forward to this fight. We have some unfinished business that I would like to resolve, but at the moment I want to fight Ronda”, said the fighter, in an interview with the web program “The Shoot”.

I thought Cat Zingano was Brazilian. Is it correct that she is American?

Cat Zingado is North American. She is married to a Brazilian, who is her jiu-jitsu coach. But she was born and lives in the USA
