Test finds traces of drugs in Shane del Rosário's blood

The death of Shane Del Rosário gained another chapter this weekend. The heavyweight, who died on the 09th after being in a coma for 13 days, suffered a heart attack on November 26th. The cause of the heart problem at just 30 years old was diagnosed with a genetic disease, but another fact may have contributed to the death. According to the death report, traces of drugs were found in the athlete's blood.

Coroners were able to identify traces of cocaine, opiates and THC (the active ingredient in marijuana). According to the report, the substances contributed, but were not the cause of death.

Heavyweight Shane Del Rosario suffered a heart attack on Tuesday, November 26, as a result of what doctors believe was caused by a congenital heart condition called Long QT Syndrome (LQTS). He spent 13 days at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach until he died on December 9th.
