Recent user of Instagram, a tool through which images can be shared with photographic filters, the Brazilian Anderson Silva has given himself over to the social network. This Monday (16), Spider used his official profile to publicize the final stretch of his preparation for the rematch against Chris Weidman, which takes place on December 28th.
“The strength of a man is not in the weight he carries, but in what he believes. Good week to everyone! #gospider”, wrote the former middleweight champion along with the image. Within hours, more than ten thousand people had already liked the photo and dozens of them published messages of support for the fighter.
On December 28th, Anderson Silva has the chance to lessen the weight of pressure on his back and erase the image left by defeat for Chris Weidman in June. In the main fight of UFC 168, in Las Vegas (USA), Spider meets his tormentor again Chris Weidman, in a fight valid for the belt in the under-84 kg division. In the night's co-main event, the TUF 18 coaches Miesha Tate e Ronda Rousey face each other for the women's bantamweight title.
